Lucyd is widely praised for delivering authentic Australian brunch experiences in Seoul, with particular acclaim for its quality avocado toast, big breakfast options, and fresh, well-prepared dishes. The cafe's coffee and tea offerings, including specialty alternatives, are consistently highlighted alongside its welcoming and friendly staff. Reviewers frequently note the establishment’s warm, foreigner-friendly atmosphere and genuine Australian flavors, making it a favored spot for both locals and expatriates. While the menu remains simple, it covers a satisfying range of breakfast and lunch choices. I cannot recommend this cafe enough. I’m not exaggerating when I say the avocado toast may be the best I’ve ever had! Lucyd is an absolute gem in the Anguk area, and it’s definitely worth more than one visit. I’ve come here almost every week despite it being a little far from where I study. The staff are so sweet and welcoming, and the cafe is super foreigner-friendly! They have a couple of delicious vegan options, which I really appreciate as a vegan in Seoul. They really understand veganism here, so it requires minimal effort on your part to explain your dietary needs. They offer a vegan avocado toast and a vegan banana bread (pictured below), along with a vegan shakshouka that I have not tried. The smoothies are also so light and yummy (the tropical smoothie is pictured)! This is a great cafe for both vegans and non-vegans to enjoy together.

Definitely a place for coffee lovers and those that miss some great Australian food. The menu is simple but has everything for your breakfast to lunch needs. They have alternative milk options. The staff is incredibly friendly and kind. And since they have lived in Australia… they bring the true taste to you here in Seoul. However, it does get busy, so you might need to wait a bit before being seated

A slightly belated review - I visited LucyD on several occasions in June 2025 while visiting Seoul. As an Aussie, I'd been craving some food from home after 2 months of travelling around South Korea. The food at LucyD is seriously delicious and Lloyd and his team are very friendly & welcoming. I was able to get a 'proper' cup of tea and the big breakfasts were beautifully presented and very yummy. I also had a steak on on of my visits and it was cooked to perfection. The cafe is light-filled and modern and the atmosphere is relaxed and comfortable.

Australian style cafe brunch - avocado toast, eggs Benedict, steak etc. Lucyd is a great find. Great coffee and T2 tea on offer. Adequate seating for a family of 5 but also offers counter seating.

Great food, great coffee and great staff Had a big breakfast, a chef special and avocado on toast. Finished off with a pavlova and banana bread fresh out of the oven. Everything made fresh here. Tastes amazing. Being Australian at an Australian cafe, this one rivals what Melbourne has to offer. Can highly recommend to anyone, Australian or not

We spent a week in Japan in a week in Korea and I have to say even though we’ve been staying at five star hotels this is by far the best breakfast we had on our trip. It’s an open atmosphere and the chef really really looks like he cares about every dish that goes out. I’m constantly looking at Michelin options and I have to say this meal brings very high on my list. If you are looking for an amazing breakfast in Korea, as many, just serve sugar and gluten, this will be an amazing option with fresh ingredients and amazing food. Also, I’m a very picky eater so that speaks volumes about my review. Also, I don’t usually leave reviews often. We got the avocado toast and added salmon and hashbrowns. The hashbrowns are really unique and the ketchup is homemade.

This place deserves all five stars – for both food and service! Every dish tastes homemade and special, because the chef makes everything from scratch. You can really tell the ingredients are fresh too. One of the reasons I love Lucyd is the amazing staff. They’re always kind, attentive, and make you feel so welcome. Definitely one of my favorite brunch spots!
